James Cleveland serves as the Town of Pavilion Highway Superintendent. James is currently serving a term ending in 2027. 

 

The Highway Department is dedicated to maintaining and improving the Town’s road network to ensure safe and efficient travel for residents and visitors. The Highway Department plays a vital role in supporting the infrastructure and safety for the Pavilion community.

The duties performed by our department:

  • Maintenance of town roads, ditches, and culvert pipes
  • Various infrastructure enhancements within the town
  • Snow and ice removal on town roadways
  • Tree trimming and tree removal on town road right of way
  • Mowing roadway shoulders on town and county roads
  • Maintenance of the Town Park
  • Management of Transfer Station & Bulk Water Station

Deer Carcass Removal:

The Highway Department only removes deer carcasses if located on TOWN roads and IF the carcass is in the roadway:

  • Removal is only done during normal business hours
  • Carcasses on private property cannot be moved by the highway department

For County Road Carcass removal, please contact Genesee County.

Mailbox Replacement:

The Town of Pavilion is not responsible for replacing mailboxes.

However, should mailboxes be damaged by the Town of Pavilion during the process of road maintenance, please kindly contact the Highway Superintendent to discuss the matter.
